Geetham 75

The gifts to us mortals fulfil all our needs and yet run back to thee undiminished. The river has its everyday work to do and hastens through fields and hamlets; yet its incessant stream winds towards the washing of thy feet.

The flower sweetens the air with its perfume; yet the last service is to offer itself to thee.

The worship does not impoverish the world. From the words of the poet men take what meanings please them; yet their last meaning points to thee.

ഗീതം 75

മാനവരാശി ക്കീശ്വരനേകിടും
ദാനങ്ങളാശാ പൂര്‍ത്തിക്കു ശേഷവും
അന്യൂന മവശേഷിച്ചു പിന്നെയും
അങ്ങയെത്തേടി താനേ മടങ്ങിടും,

നിത്യകര്‍മ്മ നിവൃത്തിക്കു ശേഷമാ
നീരമങ്ങവിരാമ പ്രവാഹത്തില്‍
നീരജിനീ രൂപത്തിലഥ വീും
നിശ്ചിതം തല്‍ ചരണങ്ങള്‍ പൂകുന്നു;

സൂനങ്ങള്‍ ഭൂവില്‍ സൗഗന്ധ്യമേറ്റിലും
സൗരഭ്യ പരിപൂര്‍ത്തി നേടുന്നീലാ
സര്‍വ്വജ്ഞ പൂജാദ്രവ്യമാകുന്നതേ
സൂനങ്ങള്‍ക്കന്ത്യാഭിലാഷ മേതുമേ;

കാവ്യകൃത്തുക്കള്‍ സ്വഗാനാലാപത്തില്‍
വ്യത്യസ്ഥാര്‍ത്ഥങ്ങള്‍ കല്പിക്കുന്നാകിലും
അന്തിമാര്‍ത്ഥത്തിന്‍ പൂര്‍ണ്ണതയെന്നുമേ
അങ്ങയെ സംബന്ധിപ്പതു മാത്രമേ.

Day after day, O Lord of my life, shall I stand before thee face to face? With folded
hands, O lord of all worlds, shall I stand before thee face to face?

Under thy great sky in solitude and silence with humble heart shall I stand before thee face to face?

In the laborious world of thine, tumultuous with toil and with struggle, among hurrying crowds shall I stand before thee face to face?

And when my work shall be done in this world, O king of kings, alone and speechless shall stand before thee face to face?

ജീവിതേശ്വരാ ! നിന്നേന്‍ ദിനേ ദിനേ
ദിവ്യസന്നിധേ അഞ്ജലീബദ്ധയായ്
ഈയപാരമാം ദ്യോവിനു താഴെയായ്
ഏതു ഘോര വിജനേയേകാകിയായ്,

അശ്രുനേത്രയായ് തല്‍സവിധത്തില്‍ ഞാന്‍
നമ്രശീര്‍ഷയായ് നിത്യവും നിന്നിടാം.

കര്‍മ്മബന്ധ സമുച്ചയ സാഗര –
തീരത്തായ് സര്‍വ്വ ലോകര്‍ക്കിടയിലായ്
അങ്ങേ വൈചിത്ര്യ പൂരിതമീ ഭവ –
സംസാരത്തില്‍ തിരുമുമ്പില്‍ നില്‍ക്കാം ഞാന്‍.

അങ്ങേ സൃഷ്ടിയാമീലോക വീഥിയില്‍
ബന്ധമോക്ഷം ഞാന്‍ നേടിടും വേളയില്‍
ദിവ്യ സന്നിധൗ നിശ്ശബ്ദമേകയായ്
മാമകേശ്വരാ ! നിന്നിടാം നിത്യം ഞാന്‍.
