The very thought of teaching,
The very thought about seeing students,
The very thought of chatting with 'em,
The very thought of seeing their smiles,
The very thought of being their mentor,
The very thought of learning with them,
The very thought of sharing new ideas,
The very thought of doing things new,
The very thought of just knowing them,
The very thought of doing what I love,
Brings utmost satisfaction to my soul-
A happiness that no monetary value equals.

Seeing those smiling faces readily waiting,
Hearing their chirpiness as I enter the classroom,
Watching their readiness to start learning,
Enjoying their inquisitiveness as the lecture progresses,
Helping their curious minds with as many answers,
Feeding them with as much knowledge,
Soothing feeling when they show care
In return for the love and care I shower
Is the best feeling for any lecturer- 
priceless and invaluable.

When you see a welcoming smile
Your day brightens ten-fold;
When you hear chirpy whispers,
You know all are ready for the day;
When you see curious faces staring,
You know the mind is ready to take in,
When you hear inquisitive questions,
You know they are prepared;
When you see genuine interest shown,
You hear what is not being told;
Such is the batch of students we enjoy
Teaching and learning from them, for,
Learning has no age and everyone in life is a teacher.

It is not just about teaching,
It is more about how we mutually learn;
It is not just about passing knowledge,
It is more about how we use it;
It is not about how known we are,
It is more about how we hold ourselves, how confident we are,
How prepared we are and how we showcase ourselves as role models;
Students emulate their teachers whether knowingly or unknowingly;
As a guide, mentor them by walking the talk.

The more students discuss in class,
The more confident they become;
The more they interact among them,
The more their shyness fades;
The more they move around in class,
The more their comfort level rises;
The more they share their views,
The more their communication hones;
The more interesting the class is,
The more inquisitive they become;
The more activities they do,
The more their leadership improves;
Making or breaking - all happens within the classroom!

Chatting away during class activities,
Taking the lead in class discussions,
Being proactive for all lectures,
Being consistent in all the work done,
Being regular to all the lectures,
Participating with full commitment,
Inquisitive and willing to share views,
Encouraging healthy debates in class,
Giving peer- assistance to others,
Are all signs of a switched on student.
